1 month

Daniel is now a little over a month old and I can not believe how fast he is growing. He is able to hold up his head at a 90 degree angle for 5-10 seconds and is really getting a strong grip. The problem with him grabbing things now is that he will grab the pacifier out of his mouth and start crying and will continue to do this until he falls asleep. These pictures were taken at our house and there is also a picture of Daniel and his friend Tucker who was born on the same day. Stephanie and I met to walk together and are starting a routine so we can lose our baby weight fast!

Halloween

Here are a few pictures from Halloween. Although Daniel was a little to young to trick or treat we really wanted to go ahead and dress him up anyway. This year he was the cutest pumpkin you have ever seen. He did not fuss at all when we dressed him he just looked a little confused and scared with the outfit and all of the picture taking.

2-3 weeks

Daniel had his first doctors appointment yesterday and everything went great. He is going to Vestavia Pediatrics and so far the doctors all seem wonderful. He weighed 8lbs 15 oz so he has gained one pound since birth. This puts him in the 60th percentile for weight and he is in the 65th percentile for length (which i forgot to ask what his actual length was). He is starting to grow so fast and we can already see a lot of changes already. He is able to grasp objects and swat at his toys hanging down on his play gym. He is also a lot more alert and loves to be held and just look around at everything in the room. He seems to be especially interested in lamps and lighting. I will be sure to put up a few pictures from Halloween he has a few different costumes that I can not wait to dress him in. Here are a few pictures from weeks two through three. His Nana came by and visited him during the Auburn game last weekend. The picture of him sleeping in the crib is so funny. He loves to be swaddled but hates for his arms to be tied up so everytime I go into check on him in the crib that is how he sleeps with both hands above his head. Hope you enjoy.

Daniel Kirkley Hutson Jr graced us with his presence on October 8, 2009, at 10:05 am. Daniel and I went into the hospital Wed. night at 8 to start the induction process. Being induced is typically a two part process where at night they insert a pill to help dilate and in the morning they give you a drip to start contractions. I was given the pill at 11 pm and within the hour started having contractions. At 4 am I was blessed with an epideral after having contractions one minute apart. Daniel was born at 10:05 am after only 45 minutes of pushing. He weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and 20.5 inches long. These pictures are from delivery and the days following. I hope you enjoy!!

Week 40

I have officialy gone past my due date and am now as I say -3 days due. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon to decide wether to go in tonight or tomorrow morning to be induced. So Hopefully tomorrow little Daniel will finally make his arrival. He seems to be pretty comfortable where he is so it may take him a while to decide to come out. At last weeks appointment I was only 1 cm and 60% effaced which made me happy because the last few appointment there has been no change. Here is a picture of me at 40 weeks right before watching the Auburn/Tennessee game. I was hoping that jumping around and cheering would get something jump started but unfortunatly that did not work out. Hopefully next time I post there will be many new pictures of baby Daniel!!!

Week 38

My coworkers at the bank threw me a wonderful shower at Landrys seafood in Birmingham. We had so much fun playing games and trying to guess eachothers baby pictures. This picture is our branch minus Sophia and Jason.

Week 37 Full Term!!

Well it is all finally dwindling down. I am now at 37 weeks and am considered full term. Daniel and I are still trying to wrap it around our brains that the time is almost here. All of my checkups have been going great Little Daniel is the right size and has already moved into a head down position although I have not yet dropped. I am going to the Doctor every Tuesday until the baby comes so every week there is a new surprise when I leave!! We are still hoping for due date of October 3rd because it is also my Grandfathers birthday and he passed away a few weeks ago so it would make it very special if Daniel decides to grace us with his presence that day!!

Week 34 Birmingham Shower

My sweet friends threw me a wonderful shower here in Birmingham. Lauren had come up with the best games to play including dirty diaper name tags and a really funny mad libs and Bridget was the best hostesss and thank you also for having it at your house it was so much fun!!! Thank you also to all the other hostesses you made it so special!

Week 33 Auburn Shower

These pictures are from my shower in Auburn. It was thrown for me and little Daniel by some of my moms best friends and people I have know for forever. I got so many cute outfits that I just know Daniel will be the best dressed baby in Birmingham!! Thank you again Mrs Davis for hosting it at your house!
